Sid Perkins

Sid Perkins is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Snapper Creek Energy, bringing over 20 years of leadership and innovation in the energy sector. He launched Snapper Creek in October 2023 with a vision to advance energy market solutions through strategic insight and cutting-edge execution.
 
Prior to founding Snapper Creek, Sid was the Managing Partner and Founder of ION Energy Group, a firm he led for 15 years since its inception in 2008. Under his guidance, ION Energy achieved dominant market share across multiple energy markets and executed the first-ever NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) trade listed on the NASDAQ exchange. Personally responsible for brokering nine-figure commission volumes, Sid oversaw ION’s growth to over $1 billion in total brokerage revenue, solidifying its position as a market leader in the oil and gas industry.
 
Before his success at ION, Sid was a Partner at LCM Commodities, where he launched and led the firm’s NGL brokerage desk. Earlier in his career, he built and managed the financial NGL business at Bank of America, setting the foundation for a career marked by strategic foresight and impactful execution.
 
Sid holds a bachelor’s degree from Tulane College and resides in Miami, Florida, with his wife and three daughters.
 
A committed philanthropist, Sid serves on the Board of Baptist Hospital in Florida, Friends of Georgica Pond in East Hampton, and the Pine Ridge School for Girls in South Dakota—an institution he co-founded with his mother to empower young women through education.
